If you want to start a career in corrections, getting a degree is a smart move. Additionally, all of the schools listed below have received accreditation by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. This means that they have each been evaluated and found to be the highest quality corrections programs.
Although we did not find affordable corrections programs in all states, some states listed below do have more than one affordable corrections program offered that deserves recognition and is therefore a part of our list.

The University of South Florida offers its BA in Criminology program both on-campus and online. Its BSAS program in Criminal Justice is designed for students with an AS degree who have had trouble transferring credits to a traditional BA/BS program. An optional internship is available in the BA program, with a minimum of ten hours per week worked in the spring and fall terms and 15 hours per week in the summer.
